The park is small but varied with spectacular landscapes in three distinct areas. In the west, the Meru Crater funnels the Jekukumia River; the peak of Mount Meru lies on its rim

BEST TIME TO VISIT

The best time to visit Arusha National Park depends on your wildlife interests:
 
June to October: Dry season, ideal for game viewing as animals congregate around the Tarangire River.
 
November to May: Green season, characterized by lush landscapes and fewer tourists, with excellent bird watching and the birth of many animals.

HOW TO GET THERE

The Arusha National Park is accessible by road and air.
 
By Road: 
The area is about a 1-hour drive from Arusha town.
 
By Air:
There are regular flights from Arusha to the Arusha Airport, which is a short drive from the Arusha National Park.
