BEST TIME VISIT

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round. However, the best times to visit depend on what you want to see:

December to March: Calving season, a great time to see newborns and predator activity.
 
April to June: The start of the migration as herds move north.
 
July to October: Peak migration season, especially around the Mara River crossings.
 
November: The short rains bring the migration back to the Serengeti.

HOW TO GET THERE

The Serengeti is accessible by road and air:
 
By Road: The park is about a 7-hour drive from Arusha.
 
By Air: There are regular flights from Arusha to several airstrips within the park.
